The soft seal used in Seat Rings depends on valve applications. The pressure, the operating temperature, the type of fluid in the passage etc. are decisive in the evaluation. The projects differ in Single Piston Effect (SPE) or Double Piston Effect (DPE). In both solutions pressure exerted on the seats, albeit in different ways, allows the seats to adhere to the sphere/ball, thus guaranteeing tightness. Size range

FIRE SAFE SEAT ASSEMBLIES (DOUBLE OFFSET BUTTERFLY VALVES)

Such Seat Assemblies are used in High Performance Double Offset Butterfly Valves which can withstand high temperatures and various operating pressures. The Soft Seat fitted inside Metal Seat is usually PEEK filled PTFE.
